February 2

I agree with Beck's claims. He presents a good argument, and his presentation is very effective. He uses several effective methods of captivating the attention of his audience. When make such remarks and compare Che Guevara to such people as Hitler and Stalin, people are going to listen to what you are saying. That definitely catches their attention. He speaks with a very sarcastic tone. The whole time he's speaking he just sounds like he's mocking Che Guevara. He brings up ironic points, such that the "king of communism" is now a great capitalist. He also takes many stabs at society today. He is a bit provocative as a speaker, but I don't think that he is too provocative. He's provocative enough that he captures the attention of his audience, but not so provocative that lots of people think he is ridiculous.

Jackie I agree with you almost entirely. What Guevara did was disgusting, but I still don't think it is Glen Beck's place to judge who wears who on their T-shirt.

I find it really funny that a man so concerned with the fall of capitalism has now been turned in such a figure head. I also really liked the way he compared him to Stalin and Hitler because it makes it a lot easier to understand and reference.

I agree with what you said - Beck uses a sarcastic tone and this definitely catches people's attention...especially mine. I thought, why is this man talking like that? So i listened carefully. Also, i didn't really think about how comparing Che to Hitler and Stalin really captures people... even though I payed more attention after he said that.

I agree with your description of Beck's tone. He is most definitely sarcastic and mocking. I feel like the extent in which he mocked, almost made me not agree with everything he said though - as if I had to double check everything he said because it was so radically biased.

I know what you mean when you say that Beck is provocative but not too provocative, and I think that the way he talks about Che you really get a good idea about how he really feels.

I agree that his tone caught the attention of the listeners. Also his comparisons to hitler and stalin personally caught my attention when listening to Beck.
